What Can a Prime Video Account PIN Do?

The Prime Video account holder can use an Account PIN to:

  • Lock access to the account holder’s profile.

  • Bypass purchase and viewing restrictions on any profile.

  • Override all profile-level PINs

  • Restrict creation and removal of profiles..


Important: All profiles can be PIN locked. Profile PINs are not shared with the account holder, but the Account PIN can override every profile PIN.

 

Steps to Set Up a Prime Video Account PIN on Web

  • Open a web browser and sign in to Prime Video.

  • Go to the Your Profiles page.

  • Select Edit profile, then choose the account holder’s profile.

  • On the Edit Profile page, select Manage next to Account PIN and locks.

  • If prompted, enter your Amazon account login details.

  • On the Account PIN and locks page, select Create next to Prime Video Account PIN.

  • Enter your desired PIN and select Continue to save.

 

Important Notes About Prime Video Account PINs

  • Once created, Account PINs and Profile PINs apply across all devices.

  • Viewing Restrictions apply only to the device where they were set.

  • If accounts are linked through Amazon Family, the primary account’s PIN is used to override any restrictions.
